Dianthus barbatus 'Indian Carpet Mixed' (HB)

This Sweet William will create a kaleidoscope of fragrant colour in early summer. The flowerheads are tightly packed with small, uniquely patterened blooms in shades of pink, red and white. Bees and butterflies love them! Although biennial, they are usually grown as a half hardy annual. (6ins)

Sowing Instructions

Sow 1.5mm deep in early spring in trays of good seed compost. Transplant into boxes when seedlings are large enough to handle. When well grown, harden off gradually before planting out 6ins apart after lasts frosts. They prefer a sunny site and well drained soil.
