These plants produce a tight mass of blue, evergreen foliage. Then, around late spring, they erupt into a blaze of colour with wonderful, fragrant, long lasting blooms. Excellent as cut flowers and for borders or rock gardens. (25-30cm /10-12in).
Sowing Instructions
Sow indoors in trays from February to late June, just covering the seeds with compost. Seal in polythene bag until germination occurs. Move into 3 inch pots when seedlings are large enough to be handled. Once well established, harden off and plant out 12ins apart in a sunny, well drained site for flowering the following year. Prefers limy or neutral soil. Often flowers in autumn in first year from an early sowing.
