Blooming from late February to April, the bright pinky purple sprigs of honesty provide a vibrant contrast to daffodils and other spring bulbs. The scented flowers are nectar rich and will attract early spring butterflies, bees and other pollinating insects to your garden. After flowering, flat, green seedpods develop. These will turn to translucent silver if picked and dried before being spoiled by autumn weather and are invaluable for winter flower arrangements. Honesty is a biennial but will readily self seed to provide new plants.(2-3ft)
Sowing Instructions
Sow outdoors in a prepared seed bed in spring and thin out seedlings to 6ins apart when they are large enough to handle. Move to flowering position in September or October. Prefers partial shade but will tolerate full sun.
