Nigella 'Miss Jekyll'

This old cottage garden favourite gets its common name from the fact that the flowers appear to float in a haze of delicate feathery foliage. 'Miss Jekyll' produces a profusion of blooms in traditional deep sky blue. Both the flowers and the decorative seed pods can be successfully dried for winter flower arrangements.

Sowing Instructions

Sow outdoors in spring where the plants are to flower. Sow 3mm deep in rows 30cm apart in well prepared ground. Thin out to a spacing of 20cm when the seedlings are large enough. They prefer an open sunny site but will grow almost anywhere.
