Sweet Pea 'King Size Navy'

Generally recognised as one of the darkest blue sweet peas in existence, King Size Navy, has long slender stems each bearing up to five big, blousy, frilled blooms. Very fragrant. (climber)

Sowing Instructions

Sow in October indoors or in March or April outdoors. Sow 3 seeds in a 3ins pot , 0.5ins deep in good, free draining compost. Place in a propagator or seal inside a polythene bag until after germination. Spring sowings can be made outside, 1in deep in a prepared seed bed or where they are to flower. Overwinter October sown plants in a coldframe or unheated greenhouse and plant out in spring. Pinch out the growing points once the second pair of leaves has opened and remove spent blooms to encourage new flowers. Prefers a well drained soil in full sun. CAUTION: Harmful if eaten.
