This was bred by the Scottish Crop Research Institute with the needs of organic growing in mind. It was named after the Soil Association founder to encourage this concept. It has high yields, very good disease resistance (including partial double eelworm resistance) and what is described as “vigour under low fertility conditions”. Organic enthusiasts will not be flattered.
