Ambo is a fairly high yielding, general purpose TEAGASC variety selected from a Cara x Desiree cross. It has spectacularly attractive, part red, large tubers. It gains reasonable blight resistance from the Cara side but misses out on eelworm resistance. Sourced from an organic farm.
