This established garden favourite performs well outdoors in most areas of the U.K. It has excellent disease resistance and produces good crops of straight, thin skinned, dark green cucumbers. Unbeatable for flavour and texture.
Sowing Instructions
Sow 0.5ins. deep in April or early May in individual pots of moist seed compost. Place in propagator or seal inside a polythene bag until germination occurs. When at the two leaf stage, transplant into 5ins pots for a few weeks before planting out 24ins apart in a sunny, sheltered position. When six leaves have formed, pinch out growing points and train shoots up netting or trellis. Allow both male and female flowers to form and feed regularly once fruits begin to set. Also suitable for greenhouse growing.
