Sweet peppers are normally grown in a cool greenhouse but this robust and productive variety can be planted outdoors in warmer areas of the country. However, given the unpredictability of the British summer, we would advise planting them in pots to enable them to be taken indoors if necessary. The fruits of Canape are large, sweet and mild.
Sowing Instructions
Sow in trays in early spring, covering the seeds lightly with compost. Seal inside a polythene bag until germination.Transplant seedlings into 5 inch pots when large enough to handle. Grow on under glass and pot up as necessary. Can be planted outdoors in areas where weather conditions permit. To prolong the cropping period, pick the peppers as soon as they begin to change colour and ripen off the plant.
