This excellent heavy cropper is suitable for growing outdoors in most areas and its superior disease resistance makes it ideal for organic cultivation. The smallish fruits have firm, sweet, crunchy flesh. Recommended for pickling.
Sowing Instructions
Sow 0.5ins. deep in April or early May in individual pots of moist seed compost. Place in propagator or seal inside a polythene bag until germination occurs. When at the two leaf stage, transplant into 5ins pots for a few weeks and harden off before planting out 36ins apart in a sunny, sheltered position. When six leaves have formed, pinch out growing points and train shoots up netting or trellis. Allow both male and female flowers to form and feed regularly once fruits begin to set.
