Melon 'Fast Break' F1

Generally considered to be one of the best of the very early cantaloupes, 'Fast Break' produces good sized netted melons with succulent, super sweet, orange flesh.Ideal for the greenhouse, coldframe or cloches but can also be grown outdoors in some areas of the country.

Sowing Instructions

Sow in individual 3ins. pots of moist seed compost in early spring. Pot up as required before finally planting 3ft. apart in the greenhouse border or coldframe. Pinch out the growing point when five leaves have formed and provide support. Pollinate by placing a male flower inside a female flower. (Female flowers have a swollen base.)
