Similar to salad rocket but with darker leaves and a slightly more peppery flavour, the Turkish variety can be harvested young and eaten raw in salads or, if left to mature, can be lightly steamed and used as a substitute for spinach. (24ins)
Sowing Instructions
Sow thinly under cloches in early spring or later in open ground. Thin out to 12ins apart. Crop regularly to encourage new growth and remove flower buds to discourage bolting. Make successional sowings to ensure a good supply of fresh new leaves.
