Possibly the earliest variety available to gardeners, 'Rudolph' can be cropped well before Christmas in the south and by early February in the coldest areas of the country. The large plants produce excellent crops of good sized, dark purple, tender spears.

Sowing Instructions

Sow in well prepared seedbed in drills 0.5ins deep in late spring. Transplant to final position 30x30ins apart when seedling have five or six leaves. They will grow in most soil conditions but must be planted firmly. Ready for cropping in late winter and early spring.
