Blazingly hot and with a distinctive fruity flavour, these Caribbean chilis are closely related to Habaneros. Their name comes from their unusual shape which is said to resemble a Tam O'Shanter hat. Deep orange when ripe.
Sowing Instructions
Sow seeds thinly on the surface of a good seed compost, lightly covering the seeds. Place in a propagator or seal inside a polythene bag until after germination. When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into 3ins pots and, when well grown, harden off and plant outside 18ins apart in a sunny, well drained site. For indoor crops, plant into growbags or large pots. In the U.K., peppers are generally more successful when grown under glass.
