'Giant Italian' produces robust plants with thick stalks and large, richly flavoured, dark green, flat leaves. Use in salads, sauces, soups and stews. Excellent for drying.
Sowing Instructions
Soak seeds overnight before use. Parsley needs some heat to germinate so, if you don't have a propagator, sow a few seeds in moist compost in a 3ins pot, seal inside a polythene bag and place on the warmest windowsill in the house. Once the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots and grow on in cooler conditions. Gradually harden off and plant outside after the last frosts. They will grow in sun or partial shade but prefer a rich, moist soil. Harvest regularly to encourage new growth.
