Summer Squash Scallop 'Yellow Bird'

'Yellow Bird' is a 'Patty Pan' type squash bearing heavy crops of attractive, golden yellow, soft skinned fruits on pretty, bushy plants. These flat, scalloped squashes have a wonderful fresh flavour and are best harvested young. Not suitable for long term storage.

Sowing Instructions

Sow indoors in spring in trays of good seed compost. Place in propagator or seal inside a polythene bag until seedlings emerge. When large enough to handle, transplant into 3ins pots. When well grown, gradually harden off and plant out 18ins apart after last frosts. Harvest young fruits regularly to encourage further production.
