Parsnip 'White Spear'

Bred by Tozer, 'White Spear' is a quick growing, open pollinated, variety with long, bold roots and smooth, white skin. An improved 'White Gem' type.

Sowing Instructions

Sow half an inch deep in situ from April to June. Sow groups of 4 seeds 8 inches apart and thin out to the strongest seedling. If very long parsnips are required, the soil should be deeply dug and well manured. However, they will do well in ordinary, well drained, cultivated soil.
