Runner Bean 'St. George'

Back by popular demand, 'St. George' outclassed all others at the R.H.S. 2008 trials, yielding by far the heaviest crops of smooth, straight, pale green, quality pods which, if picked young, are virtually stringless and fibre free. Extremely attractive, bicoloured red and white flowers.

Sowing Instructions

For early crops, sow indoors in individual pots in April and harden off before planting out 9-12ins apart after last frosts. Sow outdoors in May or June 0.5ins deep. Provide canes, strings or poles for support and keep well watered.
