Quantity:
1 Packet (ave 200 seeds)
It wasn't until the 17th century that orange became the normal colour for carrots when they were bred by patriotic Dutch growers to match the main colour of their national flag. On the other hand, purple carrots were grown as long ago as the 10th century in India, the Middle East and Europe. They are now making a comeback and are widely available in many supermarkets.
'Purple Haze' produces long, thick, tapering roots with smooth purple skin and deep orange flesh and all the taste and nutritional value of orange carrots. The colour becomes less intense when cooked.

Sowing Instructions

Sow from April to June in drills 0.5ins deep and 12 ins apart. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, thin out so they are roughly 10cm apart.
