Helychrisum 'Summer Solstice'

'Summer Solstice' is a tall Helychrisum with strong stems and large papery flowers in clear summer shades of lemon, gold, yellow, red, mauve and white. Easy to dry for winter flower arrangements. Pick when the foliage is dry and the flowers are just fully open. Remove the foliage and hang upside down in small bunches in a dry, well ventilated position. (36ins)

Sowing Instructions

Sow indoors from February to April on the surface of a good seed compost and place in propagator or seal inside a polythene bag. Do not cover seeds or exclude light and remove bag after germination. When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into pots and harden off before planting out in flowering position after last frosts. (12ins apart) A sunny position is best.
