'Marmande' produces the classic, ribbed, beefsteak tomatoes more commonly found on the continent than in the U.K. The fruits are large, meaty, irregularly shaped and have very few seeds and a distinctive, tangy flavour. The plants are semi bush but will require some staking to support the heavy crops. Best grown outdoors in a sheltered, sunny position. R.H.S. award winner.
