This is a German variety introduced by Agrico, Europe's largest potato organization. The initial seed introduction was flawed with serious disease issues and gave the variety the worst possible start. To their credit Agrico started again with disease free micropropagated plants and have taken time to build up a stock of high status Scottish seed. It is a long oval, yellow, general purpose type with enough dry matter to fry well - earlier than Markies. This combined with good virus, tuber blight and yellow eelworm resistance makes it worth trying. The only frying variety I could find in Prague during the summer!
