New British hybrid parsnip. This is ticking all the boxes for exhibitors at the moment. It is long, white and smooth with a shallow crown and is said to be canker resistant. For the rest of us, it eats well, is easily washed, is very uniform and reliable and withstands very cold conditions.
Sowing Instructions
Sow half an inch deep in situ from April to June. Sow groups of 4 seeds 8 inches apart and thin out to the strongest seedling. If very long parsnips are required, the soil should be deeply dug and well manured. However, they will do well in ordinary, well drained, cultivated soil.
