Pink Duke of York

This was found as a somatic variation in a crop of Duke of York somewhere in the UK mid 20th Century. It was passed hand to hand among a small group of enthusiasts and gained legendary status for flavour- I wanted to try it but could never get it. Fortunately someone passed it to the National Collection around 1956 and in recent years it has been cleaned of virus and placed in the disease free in vitro part of the collection and made available to growers. Only available in the producer's trial packs.
