 More compact and stronger stemmed than other bipinnatus varieties, 'Sonata' can be grown successfully in containers as well as in borders and will supply an abundance of delicate, lacy foliage and 3ins flowers for cutting well into autumn. The colour range is white, red and two delightful shades of pink. Butterflies love them!

Sowing Instructions

Sow indoors from February to April in trays of seed compost. Place in a propagator or seal inside a polythene bag until germination takes place. Prick out into pots when seedlings are large enough to handle. Harden off and plant out 30cm apart after last frosts. Can also be sown outdoors in late April.
